Managing Pricing
A price list is a set of pricing rules, sometimes known as price guidelines, that set different criteria to determine a price for a certain consumer. To apply particular rates or reductions, these price lists can be created with precise criteria (such as minimum quantities sold). Although price lists recommend specific prices, the sales order always has the option to override them.
Configure Price List
To configure the public price list and make adjustments, or create a new one, navigate to the price list through the Sales App, under the 'Products' menu item, select 'Price lists'.
This page will display all the existing price lists, you can edit an existing price list, by selecting it then clicking the 'Edit' button, or clicking anywhere to enable editing mode.
Create a New Price List
To create a new price list, click the 'Create New' button. And fill the fields accordingly:
- Name
- Currency: Select the currency of the prices based on the list of configured currencies
Additional Currencies
You can edit the configured currencies by accessing the 'Accounting Data' from the Setup Wizard. Select more currencies and save your settings.
💡 Tip: Enable Automatically Updating Currency Rates
Navigate to the setting, then the 'Account Settings' tab, under 'currency' enable the 'Update Currency Rates Automatically' option. - Country Groups: Select the country groups you want to apply the price list to
💡 Tip: Create a New Country Group
Create a new country group while creating your price list, select the "Create New" option under the Country Group drop-down menu or click on the icon. - Product List
This table will allow you to add the products, criteria (if any), and price.
- Click the 'Add Product' button at the bottom of the table to add a product line
- Select one of the products created
- Min Quantity: This field allows you to create a price based on the ordered quantity.
💡 Tip: Create Multiple Prices for the Same Product
You can create multiple criteria for the same product, by changing the quantity and the price accordingly.
- Save: Click the 'Save' button to save your changes.
Extra Prices
If you navigate to the product through the 'Products' tab and then the 'Products' sub-category, you will notice the 'Extra Prices' field is updated to reflect the extra process from the price list.
Default Price List for Customers
Invent allows users to apply an alternative price list directly through the contact form, even though the 'Public Pricelist' is applied to all customers by default.
To apply a price list to a customer, access the desired customer through the CRM App, and access the contact of the desired customer, click on 'Edit' or anywhere to enable the editing mode, and finally navigate to the 'Sales' tab to select the desired price list.
